I'll preface this post by saying it is a change in tack from the usual "melancholic girl stares out window" and "this is a pretty frock/photo/collection of chopped up pieces of paper in'it?" However, I've chosen these costumes because, like previous subjects, I think they're beautiful. Pretty funny, but still beautiful.
Unfortunately we don’t really get into Halloween in Australia, but I love a good costume so I’m celebrating the day with this post.
Yes, these are celebrities but their costumes are also great. I’ve chosen these ones because they:
- feature aesthetically pleasing design
- they're original and fun
- show commitment to costume ie they’re not one of those lame catsuit plus ears costumes or dress plus black eyeliner on lips costumes
In my research I’ve noticed that the same people keep coming up with fabulous outfits year after year. So, eyesing Halloween honours to:
Heidi Klum and Seal
She’s been hosting a Halloween party for the past seven or eight years. Lucky she found a willing partner in Seal. Yes her parties are sponsored so she has probably spent a mottza (well the sponsor probably has), but the costumes are still fantastic.
Marc Jacobs and his business partner Robert Duffy
These pics are actually from his Christmas costume party, but whateves, Marc looks hilarious in a pigeon costume.
The powers of google revealed to me that Carlos is a contributor to interiors magazine, Elle Decor. From these photos you can see he likes a nature theme when he dresses for Allison Sarofim’s (heiress turned actress) annual Halloween party in New York.
What's Halloween without a mummy?
Sick of dressing like a zombie or a witch on Halloween? Think light fittings!
Is it a man? A woman?
Adam Dugas and Casey Spooner
Geishas are so over, it's all about men dressed like kabuki characters
