French Interior

She creates collages of old photographs and paintings and uses them as a basis for her paintings. With warped and distorted backgrounds and costumes from mismatched points in time, the works carry a sense of discord and doom. The atmosphere in the paintings reminds me of the film, Picnic and Hanging Rock, when everything looks beautiful but you just know something terrible is about to happen.
